Edo State University, Uzairue, is calling for applications for its prestigious scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Edo State University Scholarship Types

There are basically two types of Edo State University Scholarships;

  • The Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award (UFSA) will be for the duration of any choice programme of candidates whose first choice of University was Edo State University before UTME examination.  This scholarship shall be for the maximum of five (5) candidates who have demonstrated high level of academic excellence. 
  •  Indigent Students Scholarship Award: The Indigent Students Scholarship Award (ISSA) will be for the duration of any choice programme and it covers only tuition fees. This award is part of Edo State University Uzairue Corporate Social Responsibility in providing access to quality education in Nigeria.

Edo State University Scholarship 2025 Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate Edo State University Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • UTME Score: Minimum score stipulated for each scholarship category.
    • 260 for Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award (UFSA) And 180 for Undergraduate Indigent Students Scholarship Award (ISSA).
  • English Proficiency: High competency in written and spoken English.
  • Proof of Indigency: Edo State origin students must provide evidence of indigency.
  • Programme Exclusions: Medicine, Law, Nursing, and MLS are not covered due to oversubscription.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must have met the entry requirements for admission into his/her course of study.

Edo State University Scholarship Benefits and Timeline

You will get the following benefits as a beneficiary of the Edo State University Scholarship;

  • Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award:

    • Duration: Extends through your chosen program.
    • Criteria: Your first choice in UTME must be Edo State University.
    • Score Requirement: A minimum UTME score of 260.
    • Slots Available: Only five exceptional candidates will be awarded.

  • Indigent Students Scholarship Award:

    • Award: 100 scholarships available for indigent students.
    • Coverage: Includes tuition fees for your chosen program.
    • Criteria: Specifically for Edo State indigenes with a UTME score of 180.
