The Australian Government annually funds the University of Queensland Earmark Scholarship for interested and qualified international and domestic postgraduate students to study and research in Australia.
The Earmark Scholarship covers the full tuition fees of successful candidates and will provide a living stipend of  $33,641 per annum tax free.

Earmark Scholarship Details
Applications are now open for the University of Queensland Earmarked Scholarships Scheme 2023.
The Earmarked scholarships are funded by the Australian Government to assist eligible PhD students with their living costs and tuition fees.
The scholarships are available to both international and domestic students to undertake a PhD study at the University of Queensland
The Earmarked scholarships are offered for research projects aligned with recently awarded Category 1 Research Grants.
They offer PhD students the opportunity to work with leading researchers and contribute to large projects of national significance.
Earmark Scholarship Benefits
- The award covers the full tuition fees of successful candidates and will provide a living stipend of  $33,641 per annum tax free (reviewed annually) for 3.5 years
- The scholarship also covers the health insurance of selected beneficiaries

To be eligible for the postgraduate Earmark Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- meet the University of Queensland’s minimum entry into entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
- Be a domestic (Australian) or an international student
- meet the specific requirements of the project you are applying for.

- In your application, under the ‘Scholarship and Collaborative study’ section, select:
- ‘My higher degree is not collaborative’.
- ‘I am applying for, or have been awarded a scholarship or sponsorship’.
