CNN Internship Details

The CNN London Internship Program is a highly competitive, paid 6-month initiative managed by CNN’s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery. Operating out of CNN’s central London bureau, the program offers hands-on newsroom experience, training, and mentorship to aspiring journalists and media professionals.

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated and experienced journalists, attend regular editorial meetings and participate in the editorial process.

CNN offers 11 internships at our central London Bureau, where it helps to bring the news to more than 475 million homes around the world. CNN is looking for CNN’s future: people with fresh ideas, innovative viewpoints, a willingness to work hard, and a commitment to the highest standards of journalism.

CNN Internship Requirements

To be eligible for the CNN Internship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be an undergraduate or postgraduate journalism degree (not essential), vocational training and/or ability to illustrate a portfolio of work / content (eg: blogs, podcasts, YouTube Channel etc)
  • Working in team environments, ideally to strict deadlines
  • Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with limited supervision
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and time efficiently.
