The National Council on Climate Change (NCCC), in line with its mandate to strengthen Nigeria’s climate governance architecture and build the next generation of climate leaders, invites eligible young professionals to apply for the Climate Youth Negotiators Programme (CYNP).

The programme is designed to equip young government officials with the technical, policy, and diplomatic skills required to effectively participate in international climate change negotiations under the UNFCCC and related processes.

Climate Youth Negotiators Programme Requirements

To be eligible for the Climate Youth Negotiators Programme, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be a Nigerian
  • Be between 18 and 35 years at the time of application
  • Be a government employee working in a climate change-related Ministry, Department or Agency (MDA)
