British Council Nigeria Internship Details
The British Council in Nigeria is recruiting 2 highly motivated interns, respectively for our Lagos and Abuja office, for an opportunity to contribute to the mission and work of the British Council in Cultural Engagement in Nigeria.

Duties and Responsibilities of 2026 British Council Interns
The duties and responsibilities of British Council interns include;
- Provide administrative and logistical support for projects and events, mainly inthe arts, but as required by other parts of the business, in line with all required internal and external standards.
- Administer our monitoring and evaluation tools – currently scorecard including collection and documentation of all data within deadline and according to corporate standards.
- Support marketing and communications for projects across the arts programme, or as needed across the operation
- Support the team with useful but repetitive tasks such as creating images, scheduling approved post,s and analytics monitoring.
- Support any other administrative tasks as assigned.
2026 British Council Nigeria Paid Internship Requirements
To be eligible for the British Council Nigeria Internship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be a recent graduate (within the last four years) with excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Maximum of 3 years post-NYSC experience
- Be familiar with social media platforms and basic digital marketing strategies.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Be computer literate, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Be self-motivated and proactive.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to learn, along with a professional attitude and drive.
- Have an interest in digital marketing, including social media and other online marketing techniques.
