Ashinaga Internship Programme Details

Overview: Nurturing Global Minds at Ashinaga

Join Ashinaga, a Japanese non-profit providing educational and emotional support to orphaned students worldwide.

The Internship Program invites individuals to explore various departments, fostering a diverse and inclusive international NGO. Over 400 interns from 90+ global universities have contributed to Ashinaga’s mission.

The internship features flexible, part-time work schedules, allowing participants to balance their academic or personal commitments.

Interns can be based remotely or, if located in Japan, participate in hybrid or in-person work at Ashinaga’s headquarters in Tokyo.

Internship Period: 28 September – 18 December 2026. Depending on team needs and intern performance, interns may be offered an extension from 18 January – 12 March 2027, subject to mutual agreement.

Ashinaga Internship Programme Requirements

To be eligible for the Ashinaga Internship Programme, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be a university student or recent graduate with creative, proactive, and growth mindsets.  
  • Have a native-level or high-level fluency in English. 
  • Be available to work for an approximate 20hrs a week
  • Interested in working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Program Structures: Hybrid and Remote Opportunities

Tailored to diverse locations, the program offers a hybrid structure for interns based in Japan and a remote structure for those residing elsewhere.

Onsite Japanese Programmes include;

  • These positions are primarily designed for applicants who are based in Japan or willing to participate in hybrid or in-person internship activities at Ashinaga’s Tokyo office.
