AfricaNenda Paid Remote Internship Program Details
The AfricaNenda Foundation is an African-led organization created to accelerate the growth of inclusive instant payment systems (IIPS) that will benefit all Africans, including the poorest and currently financially excluded. AfricaNenda believes that IIPS can be pivotal in creating universal access to financial services for many financially excluded adults in Africa by 2030.
The 6-month full-time remote internship offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience within Africa’s digital financial services ecosystem while supporting projects focused on inclusive instant payment systems across Africa.
Interns will work closely with the Projects team while gaining exposure to research, project coordination, reporting, advocacy support, stakeholder engagement, and campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities for AfricaNenda Internship Program Interns
The Interns will be responsible for:
- Conduct research and support analysis activities
- Assist with presentations, reports, and advocacy materials

- Support meeting documentation and follow-up activities
- Maintain stakeholder databases and engagement records
- Assist with campaign and cross-functional project activities

To be eligible for the AfricaNenda Paid Remote Internship Program, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, or related field
- Have strong research and analytical skills
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Have strong organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and data management skills
- Have Interest in financial inclusion and digital payments
- Be Self-motivated and proactive
- Adaptability and willingness to learn
- Basic project management and reporting knowledge
- Knowledge of social media and digital platforms
- French language proficiency is an advantage
- Portuguese language knowledge is an added advantage
