2025 Rotary Yoneyama Foundation Scholarship Requirements
The Key Requirements for Aspiring Scholars
To qualify for the Rotary Yoneyama Foundation Scholarship, aspiring students must meet certain criteria:
- Age Requirement: Be born after April 2, 1979 (Under 45 years of age as of April 1 of the scholarship year).
- Enrollment Plans: Be foreign students planning to enroll in Japanese universities or graduate schools overseen by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology in April, September, or October 2024.
- Degree Pursuit: Pursue a degree at Japanese universities or graduate schools. Non-degree students are not eligible.
- Enthusiasm and Appreciation: Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, a clear vision for the future, and a profound appreciation of cultural diversity.

Rotary Yoneyama Foundation Scholarship Benefits and Timeline
A recipient of the Rotary Yoneyama Foundation Scholarship will receive the following,
- Stipends up to 1,680,000 per year paid monthly;
- Undergraduates: ¥100,000 per month
- Master’s students: ¥140,000 per month
- Doctoral students: ¥140,000 per month
- Travel expenses in home country and Japan
- Visa fees
- Accommodation on the first day in Japan (up to 10,000 yen).
