Michigan State University Scholarship Details

Michigan State University Scholarship is opened to M.S. student to join the Department of Fisheries & Wildlife at Michigan State University beginning Fall 2026.

The student will be advised by Dr. Mauri Liberati in the Decision Analysis and Support Lab and affiliated with the Quantitative Fisheries Center (QFC). 

The selected student will contribute to decision analysis research that informs resource management optimization, risk analysis, monitoring design, and tradeoff evaluation in Great Lakes fisheries.

Specific project direction will be tailored to the student’s interests and ongoing collaborative needs but may involve topics such as large-scale evaluation of sea lamprey barriers or analysis of creel methodologies for fisheries management.

2026 Michigan State University Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the 2026 Michigan State University Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • have a bachelor’s degree in Fisheries & Wildlife, Ecology, Environmental Science, Applied Statistics, or a closely related field,
  • meet the minimum acceptance qualifications of Michigan State University.
  • have an interest in decision analysis and support of natural resources conservation, particularly for fisheries management.
