Turkish Scholarships Program 2026 at Koç University Details

The Turkish Scholarships is an international scholarship program funded by the Turkish Government which provides financial support for international students in their intended program of study at selected public and foundation Turkish universities.

The Turkish Scholarships program offers support to students from all countries who wish to pursue undergraduate, master, or Ph.D. programs at Turkish universities. It also supports academicians and post-doctoral researchers to collaborate with Turkish researchers.

Koç University has offered joint scholarships with Turkish Scholarships since 2019 for international students as follows:

  • 5 undergraduate scholarships for all programs (except Medicine, Law, and Nursing)
  • 10 Master scholarships for all Master’s programs with thesis (excluding Master’s in Clinical Pscychology, LL.M and Non-Thesis Master’s programs)
  • 20 Ph.D. scholarships for all programs
  • 5-10 Research scholarships

Available Programmes for Turkish Scholarships Program 2026 at Koç University

For the 2026/27 academic session, the Turkish Scholarships Program 2026 at Koç University will accept applications to the following programmes;

  • 5 undergraduate scholarships for all programs (except Medicine, Law, and Nursing)
  • 10 Master scholarships for all Master’s programs with thesis (excluding Master’s in Clinical Pscychology, LL.M and Non-Thesis Master’s programs)
  • 20 Ph.D. scholarships for all programs
  • 5-10 Research scholarships (for academicians who have obtained a PhD degree or PhD students at dissertation stage affiliated with universities abroad)

Turkish Scholarships Program 2026 at Koç University Requirements

To be eligible for the Turkish Scholarships Program 2026 at Koç University, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Minimum Academic Achievement

    • For associate and bachelor’s degree candidates 70%
    • For graduate candidates: 75%
    • For candidates of Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy): 90%

    Age Criteria

    • For associate and bachelor’s degree programmes: Under 21 years of age.
    • For master’s programs: being under the age of 30
    • For PhD programs: being under the age of 35
    • For Research Scholarship: being under the age of 50

  • Eligible Groups:

    • Citizens of all countries
    • Graduates or those who will graduate at the end of the current academic year (before August)
    • Researchers and academics

    Ineligible Groups:

    • Turkish citizens and individuals who have lost Turkish citizenship
    • Individuals who are currently enrolled in programs in Turkish universities at the level of education will apply.

Turkish Scholarships Program 2026 at Koç University Required Documents

While applying for the Turkish Scholarships Program 2026 at Koç University, you will be required to submit the following documents;

  • Statement of Purpose (SoP)
  • CV
  • High school or University transcripts (see specific program website for minimum GPA requirements as relevant)
  • University diploma(s)
  • English language proficiency test results (only TOEFL IBT is accepted and with a score of 80 IBT or higher, IELTS is not accepted in Turkey)
  • GRE or GMAT test scores (see specific program website for minimum score requirements as relevant)
  • Referee contact details (2 for Master and 3 for Ph.D. programs)
