The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. He/She participates in and conducts preventive maintenance and repairs of tools and equipment according to standards, procedures and practices.

Roles of Schlumberger Graduate Trainees

The Field Engineer Trainee is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery to customers. He/She identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, implements standard work, and manages risks during service delivery.

2026 Schlumberger Graduate Trainee Requirements

To be eligible for the Schlumberger Graduate Trainee Program, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

Field Engineer Trainee

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, Electrical etc
  • Recent graduate with 0-2 years of post‑graduation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in high‑pressure environments, with strong learning agility and adaptability to evolving situations and challenges.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Proficient in English, with strong written, verbal, and reading skills. 

Maintenance Technician

  • HND in Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical
  • Minimum of 3 years’ shop operations experience in maintenance of surface well test equipment or downhole electronics equipment
  • Hands-on competency in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Strong communication skills and team player mentality.
  • Adaptability in an ever-changing, dynamic environment.
