About the University of Kent Chevening Scholarship 2026

The University of Kent welcomes applications from all Chevening-eligible countries for any one-year taught master’s degree based at our UK campuses.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FDCO) and partner organisations.

The programme offers awards for outstanding scholars from around the world who wish to study postgraduate courses at universities in the UK.

Chevening Scholarship 2026 Requirements

To be eligible for the postgraduate Chevening Scholarship 2026, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country
  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended
  • Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a one year postgraduate programme at Kent. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree, but varies depending on the course. Please visit our course pages for our entry requirements. You can also look at our country specific criteria.
  • Have at least two years’ work experience
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 09 July 2026.
