The Fulbright TEA program offers a distinctive six-week professional development course in the United States for international teachers.

The program includes academic seminars at a host university and practical teaching experience in local schools, spanning public, private (both secular and faith-based), or charter institutions.

Fulbright Teaching Excellence Program Requirements

The eligibility criteria for the Fulbright Teaching Excellence Program includes;

  • Applicants must be full-time secondary-level educators residing in one of the participating countries or territories.
  • Open to teachers in all disciplines including English as a foreign language, STEM subjects, social studies, special education, and more.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, along with demonstrable English language proficiency, is required.
  • Applicants must be available for travel to the U.S. for the six-week duration of the program.
