NITDA/Google Coursera Scholarship Details
In an exciting development for Nigerian students, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has collaborated with Coursera.
The scholarship program is divided into two main categories, each offering unique learning paths and opportunities.
Category A – IT Career Pathway
This category is a treasure trove of 20 professional certification programs. It is designed for those aiming to launch a successful career in IT. Every program within this category includes a series of courses.
These courses are tailored to impart comprehensive knowledge and practical skills necessary for the job market.
Completing each course earns you a certificate of completion. However, the coveted professional certification is awarded once all courses in the program are successfully completed.
Category B – Complementary Skills Pathway
In contrast, Category B provides four certification programs.
These are specially curated to enhance your IT career skills. The focus here is on improving digital productivity tools, entrepreneurship, and freelancing skills.
NITDA/Google Coursera Scholarship Requirements
- To be eligible, applicants must be Nigerian citizens.

It’s important to note that scholars can enroll in only one certification at a time. They can choose from any of the 3MTT 12 core skills.
These skills include;

- Animation,
- AI/Machine Learning,
- Cybersecurity,
- Game Development,
- Cloud Computing,
- Dev Ops, and

NITDA/Google Coursera Scholarship Benefits and Timeline
- The NITDA/Google Coursera Scholarship grants each participant access to the Coursera license for six months. This enables scholars to complete their chosen certification programs.
- Upon completion, they receive a certificate, marking their achievement and enhancing their professional portfolio.
Application Procedure
Interested and qualified individuals should apply through the National Information Technology Development Agency’s platform using the link below.
Once accepted, applicants will receive the Coursera license via email. This license comes in the form of a joining link. Scholars can then access the program and enroll in courses by clicking this link.
