The Yayi Scholarship Scheme was earlier announced in 2023 for qualified students who are indigenes of Ogun West Senatorial District and are pursuing tertiary education at all levels in recognized institutions across the country.
Update on Yayi Scholarship Shorlist
According to the statement released by the said scholarship board, more than two thousand applicants submitted their entries for the scholarship.
These applicants were spread across 54 tertiary institutions in the Federal Republic, and from these, 542 have been shortlisted.
Visit the Student Affairs Division of your institution to confirm your status if you applied for the scholarship.

01. The underlisted students who applied for the Scholarship award have been shortlisted as successful beneficiaries of the 2023 Scholarship award. [Visit the Student Affairs Division of your institution to confirm your status if you applied for the scholarship.]
02. The shortlisted candidates are required to present duly signed letter of attestation by the Registrar of their respective institutions confirming the following:
1. Studentship of the institution
2. Current CGPA
3. Local government of origin on the school portal
03. The attestation letter with the student’s identity card will be presented before the verification committee, who will ensure that the qualification criteria are met by the shortlisted candidates before the presentation of the award cheque.

04. The verification committee will meet from Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th January, 2024 at Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Constituency office, Oke-Ela Road, Ilaro from 10 am to 6pm of each day.
05. Please note that presentation of the attestation letter is a compulsory requirement before the collection of cheque by beneficiaries. Candidates from far distance can do online verification
06. The award ceremony will be held on Saturday 27th January, at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion, Empire field, Ilaro.
07. The list of 1000 shortlisted candidates for the Bursary Award will be released on Monday, 29th, January, 2024.
08. Successful candidates in the Bursary Award would be required to present their JAMB admission letters and school identity cards for the collection of their cheques.
09. Please note that the Scholarship and the bursary awards are free and that beneficiaries are not required to pay any amount of money before or after collection of the award cheque.
