Trent Global Citizen Scholarship Details

The Trent University Scholarship is awarded to entering international students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, community service, leadership potential, and some financial need.

Trent University offers a wide range of scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students starting in January (Winter), May (Summer), or September (Fall) 2026.

These scholarships recognize academic excellence, leadership, community service, and financial need, ensuring that high-achieving students can thrive at Trent.

Trent Global Citizen Scholarship Benefits

There are numerous scholarships available for international students at Trent University in Canada. These include;

  • Trent International Renewable Entrance Scholarships

These range in value from $1,500 to $4,000 annually and are renewable over the course of your undergraduate degree, provided you meet the eligibility criteria each year of your undergraduate program.

  • Renewable Prestigious Scholarships and Awards

These Scholarships and Awards fund tuition and mandatory ancillary fees at Trent in amounts up to $40,000 per academic year, and up to $160,000 over a 4-year degree.

Trent International Global Citizen Scholarships Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate Trent International Global Citizen Scholarships, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • You must be an international student paying international fees.
  • You will be studying in Canada on a study permit.
  • You must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at Trent University for the Winter 2025, Summer 2026 or Fall 2026 intake. Post graduate certificate and Master/PhD students are not eligible.
  • You must meet Trent University’s Admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Proficiency Requirements. (Please note that students do not need an admission offer to apply for the scholarships and awards).
  • You have a final high school average of 80% or more (Canadian Equivalent).
  • You must submit a complete application through your myTrent portal before the “Apply Before Date” for each cohort.
  • You will need to fulfill the conditions of your conditional offer letter and register for courses to receive the scholarship amount.

How To Apply for Trent Global Citizen Scholarship 2026

To apply for the Trent Global Citizen Scholarship, follow the instructions we have outlined below; 

  • Read the information we have provided on this webpage and ensure your eligibility
  • First and foremost, apply to Trent University for admission into programs of your choice. We recommend you do this at least 15 days prior to the “Apply before” date of a particular cohort.
  • Once you apply, activate your myTrent portal using your student number that will be mentioned on the application acknowledgement. 
  • Once the myTrent portal is activated, go to the “International Undergraduate Scholarships & Awards Application (2026)” application form found under the finances tab of your myTrent portal. 
  • Please ensure that the application form is complete before submitting. 
  • You will receive the decision on a particular date depending on when you apply! The next steps regarding accepting the offer will be mentioned in the scholarship offer letter.

  • If you are eligible for the Prestigious Scholarships and Awards, please fill out the application form on your myTrent portal. It is located under the Finances tab > International > “International Undergraduate Scholarships & Awards Application (2026)” form.
