TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship Details
The Delft University of Technology offers a number of excellence scholarship programs for international students.
The Justus & Louise van Effen (TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship) is one of those programs and it aims to financially supporting excellent international MSc students wishing to study at TU Delft.
TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:
You are an excellent international applicant (conditionally) admitted to one of the 2-year regular TU Delft MSc programmes (not a Joint Education Programme).
You have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum.
You have a bachelor degree from an internationally renowned university outside of The Netherlands.
You have submitted a complete MSc application before the scholarship deadline.

Available Programmes
For the 2023/24 academic session, the TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship will accept applications to all accredited programmes offered by the Delft Institute of Technology.
TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship Benefits and Timeline
The TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship beneficiaries will receive holistic support which includes:
- Tuition and functional fees;
- Living Stipend;
- Psycho-social support, career counseling, and mentorship;
- Membership to the Scholarship club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.. for the whole two-year duration of the MSc programme.
Required Documents
You will be submitting the following while applying for the 2024 TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship;
Complete your MSc application (check the admission requirements)
- Upload the Scholarship Application Form
- Upload two reference letters
- You can upload your reference letters during your MSc application (as one PDF document), according to the indicated requirement. And/or
- You can request the reference letters from your referee(s). Fill out the information about your referee/s and invite them by using the ‘send invitation button’. The referee(s) will receive an automatic email inviting him/her to upload a reference for you.Â
o   You can combine both procedures. E.g. 1 upload and 1 referee request.
o   Reference letters will not be considered if you have already submitted your application.
o   Reference letters will not be accepted after the Scholarship deadline.Â
- Upload the English language certificate
Application Procedure
- To apply, visit the official scholarship website of the TU-Delft Excellence Scholarship.
- Students who have been granted a scholarship will be informed by TU Delft via email by the end of March 2024.
- Receiving the scholarship is conditional on the student fulfilling all admission criteria.
