Solar Wilson Scholarship Details

The Solar-Wilson Foundation, through the  Solar-Wilson Guardian Angels Scholarship Program offers tuition-based scholarships and leadership training to goal-oriented, deserving and financially disabled young adults in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions. 

The program is structured to provide a wholistic approach to education by putting the beneficiaries through our leadership training program as well as providing scholarships. 

Solar Wilson Scholarship Benefits

  • Access to leadership training 

  • Access to a global mentorship program 

  • Tuition covering any course of study in a public tertiary institution in Nigeria (Not exceeding N150,000)

  • The Solar Wilson Guardian Angels Scholarship offers tuition-based scholarships and leadership training to all selected applicants.
  • The leadership program has a three-pronged approach: Mentorship, Peer Support and the Alumni Network.
  • While each program is unique, they are all interconnected to create an ecosystem that ensures beneficiaries of the Solar-Wilson Guardian Angel Scholarship Program are a success professionally, academically and socially.

Available Programmes for Solar Wilson Scholarship

For the 2024/25 academic session, the Solar Wilson Scholarship will accept applications to all approved programmes of Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Solar Wilson Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate Solar Wilson Guardian Angels Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Nigerian citizens

  • Enrolled in a Nigerian Public Tertiary Institution (government owned Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges)

  • 18-26 years of age as at the time of application

  • Financially challenged 

  • Passed the O’Level exams (WAEC or NECO) with at least 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than 2 sittings 

  • If not a new student, applicant must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or its equivalent

Required Documents for Solar Wilson Scholarship

While applying for the 2024 Solar Wilson Guardian Angels Scholarship, you will be required to submit the following documents:

  • Complete Application Form
  • A 1000-word essay, clearly stating why applicant is the ideal candidate, their drive, career path and future impact (All AI Generated Essays will be disqualified). 
  • Admission Letter (Printed from JAMB)
  • Government Issued Identification Card (National ID, Driving License, International Passport, School ID, Permanent Voters Card)
  • Copy of O’Level results 
  • Copy of School Transcript 
  • Birth Certificate 
  • 2 recommendation letters, attesting to the applicant’s aptitude, drive, character and genuineness, from any of the following:
    • High School Principal or Teachers
    • Lecturers
