The FME TVET Initiative is a technical and vocational education and training (TVET) program designed by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) for Nigerian youths.
The FME TVET Program 2025 seeks to equip young Nigerians with high-quality technical skills for potential entrepreneurship or employment opportunities.
Participants of the program who complete their application on the FME TVET Application Portal are trained for free, given ₦45,000 monthly living stipends, startup grants, certification, and a high-quality technical and vocational education.
Registration for the FME TVET Program opened on May 31st, 2025, on the TVET Application Portal.

Now that you have understood why you should apply and benefit from this federal government initiative, it is time to begin your application.
Step 1: The first step is to visit the tvet education gov ng website
On the website, more details about the FME TVET Initiative are provided, including answers to your likely questions.
Step 2: Once you have read the details and are ready to proceed, click APPLY. You will be directed to the signup page as shown below.
tep 3: This page is the NIN verification page. You will be required to input your NIN number and your date of birth (DOB).
Once you click proceed, you will then be asked to input your phone number and a valid email address. An SMS will be sent to your phone number with which your NIN was registered.
Next, you will be directed to alogin page, meaning that your account with the TVET has been created.
Step 4: Choose your preferred Program – (STC or VEI).
There are two types of programs you can apply for on the TVET Application Portal;
Once you have thoughtfully selected your desired program, you are welcome to click Proceed.
Step 5: Fill in your details and supporting documents:
Now you can fill in your personal details, input your BNV and bank details, and select your choice of training centre and trade.
