Applications are now being accepted from all qualified and interested students for the 2024 African Union CSAS Scholarship.
The scholarship will cover the entirety of the costs of your tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, travel and a living allowance of €28,440 will by the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme.

European Union CSAS Scholarship Details
The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme of the European Union has provided funding to support training of graduate students in Central and East African universities.
In this mobility programme five African Partner Institutions and one EU Technical Partner will collaborate in the training of professionals in developing climate smart agrifood systems.
The program will also equip students and staff with a comprehensive understanding of climate-smart agrifood systems, incorporating disciplines such as agriculture, environmental science, climate science and socio-economic aspects of food systems.
European Union CSAS Scholarship Benefits
- The scholarship includes a subsistence allowance of 1230 € per month for PhD candidates, 890 € for MSc candidates’ 1230 € for Trainees and 2370 € for Staff.
- This will cover travel, insurance subsistence and accommodation.
- Insurance: Insurance coverage (accident, travel, health) will be provided for the duration of the scholarship within the limits of the grant provisions.

European Union CSAS Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for theEuropean Union CSAS Scholarship (Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme), applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
Applicants be Africans
- They must be living in Africa as at the time of their application
- Applicants are only allowed to apply to study in an institution outside of their home country.
