Commonwealth SplitSite Scholarship Details
The Commonwealth SplitSite Scholarship involves joint supervision by both a home country and a UK supervisor, fostering a rich cross-cultural and interdisciplinary learning experience.
The scholarship’s flexible structure allows the 12-month UK study period to be strategically integrated into different stages of the Ph.D., aligning with the candidate’s study plan.
The scholarship’s distinctive feature is its adaptability, enabling scholars to divide the 12-month UK study period into two or more segments. Crucially, no more than 12 months should elapse between each award term.
For applicants who have not commenced their Ph.D. at the time of application, the scholarship permits a maximum of six months in the UK during the first year of study. These scholarships are designed for:
- Candidates embarking on a 12-month study at a UK university as part of their doctoral studies in their home country, beginning in September 2024.
- Individuals registered or set to be registered for a Ph.D. at a university in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Scholars intending to study at a UK university with an established institutional or departmental link to their home university.
- Participants planning to study at a UK university with a part-funding agreement with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC).
