Applications are now open for the Government of Kenya Presidential Digital Talent Programme Cohort XI.

Digitalent is a strategic intervention by the ICT Authority on behalf of the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy (MICDE) to develop and sustain high-end ICT talent by bridging the gap between industry requirements and the capabilities of the local workforce.

The Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy (MICDE) is pleased to welcome applications for the Kenyan Presidential Digital Talent Programme.

The program aims to develop and prepare young ICT graduates to take up employment opportunities in the ICT and other sectors by gaining workplace experience, mentorship, and building professional networks.

This initiative aligns with the National ICT master plan, underscoring the critical need for a high-end, ICT-ready workforce.

The Government of Kenya Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP) will offer the following benefits;

  • Participants in Kenya’s Presidential Digital Talent Programme (PDTP) receive a monthly stipend of KSh 25,000 during their 12-month ICT internship.
  • Hands-on digital training
  • Mentorship from top industry professionals
  • Internationally and nationally recognized certification

To be considered for the 2026 Kenya Presidential Digital Talent Programme, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Recent graduates in BSc. ICT or Engineering (Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software, Security). Must demonstrate technical competencies in core areas prior to interview.
  • Graduated and attained First Class or Second Class Honours – Upper Division (or equivalent) from a recognized institution in the last two years (from Jan 2024).
  • If waiting for graduation (till Dec 2026), provide a recommendation/reference letter from the University signed & stamped by the University indicating First or Upper Second-Class Honors to be awarded.
  • MUST be a Kenyan youth (21-29 yrs) & unemployed.
  • MUST NOT have previously undertaken a Government of Kenya internship program.
  • Ready to be deployed full-time (8:00AM – 5:00PM) in any MCDA across 47 counties.

Females, persons with disabilities, and graduates from ASAL regions are highly encouraged to apply.
