Deakin Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship Details

Deakin University in Australia offers tuition fee waivers for students who are seeking to study at the university.

Deakin recognises students with consistently high academic performance and the potential to make a leading contribution to the university and its communities.

Successful students will be required to participate in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program.

Unsuccessful applicants of the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship will automatically be considered for the Deakin International Scholarship.

Deakin Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship Benefits

The Deakin Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship offers the following benefits;

  • Financial Coverage: 100% or 50% waiver of your tuition fees for the entire duration of your degree.
  • Professional Development: Enrollment in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP) to build leadership and career skills.
  • Accommodation: Priority access to on-campus housing (costs and availability apply)
  • This scholarship is available for the normal duration of your program.

Eligible Programmes for Deakin Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship

This scholarship is not available to international students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (H911) program

Deakin Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the Deakin Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • be a new international student enrolling in a Deakin coursework degree
  • meet the entry requirements for your program, including English language requirements
  • have achieved at least an 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies. For example:
    • 85% overall in Year 12 (CBSE, ICSE or State Board), or
    • a score of 10 overall in General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) / A Level, or
    • 32 overall in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
    • 80% overall in an undergraduate degree or equivalent in the first four semesters of the undergraduate program.

Deakin Vice-Chancellor International Scholarship 2026 Required Documents

While applying for the Deakin University Vice Chancellor Scholarship 2026, you will be required to submit the following documents;

  • a completed Deakin International Scholarship Program application form (PDF, 536KB)
  • a personal statement (300 words)
  • two references who can comment on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity
  • a completed application to study at Deakin including academic transcripts.
  • Your personal statement must be written by you and reflect your personal views. It should contain:
    • an outline of why you want to study at Deakin University
    • an overview of any extracurricular activities and work experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken
    • why you think you would make an outstanding ambassador for Deakin University
    • any other information that will assist your application.
