Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) President Scholarship Details

The NPU President Scholarship 2026 Batch is officially available for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD applicants from around the world and will support selected students throughout the 2026–2027 academic cycle.

The NPU President Scholarship is a competitive institutional scholarship awarded to international students admitted to degree programs for the September intake. It is not limited to a single discipline or academic level and is open to all majors offered to international students.

What makes this opportunity particularly appealing is its flexible, multi-batch application system, broad academic coverage, and tiered funding structure that rewards strong profiles.

2026 NPU President Scholarship Benefits

The NPU President Scholarship is leveled into three levels;

  • First-level winners are exempt from tuition and accommodation fees, and living allowances are provided.

Living allowances:

  •   Undergraduate: 1500RMB/month*12months
  •   Master: 2000RMB/month*12months
  •   PhD: 3500RMB/month*12months

2． Second-level winners are exempt from the tuition fee.

3．Third level winners are exempt from 50% tuition fee.

NPU President Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate and postgraduate Shanghai Government Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Applicants must be of foreign nationality and in good health.

  • Applicant’s academic qualifications and age requirements:

    • Applicants for undergraduate studies must have graduated from high school and be no more than 25 years old;

    • Applicants for master’s degree must have obtained a bachelor’s degree and be no more than 35 years old;

    • Applicants for doctoral studies must have obtained a master’s degree and have certain academic qualifications level, and the age should not exceed 40 years old.
  • Students applying for undergraduate preparatory courses should have a high school degree or above, obtain a pre-admission notice from the undergraduate admission institution, and be no more than 23 years old.
  • Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic performance.
  • Applicants must also have Chinese/English language proficiency that meets the application and admission criteria.
