Mercedes Benz Fellowship Programme 2027 Details

Applications for the 2026 cohort of the Mercedes-Benz Fellowship have commenced for individuals worldwide.

Mercedes-Benz is looking for 1000 Fellows for the next cohort, which kicks off in May 2026! Applications will officially open on 17 September 2025. The company is looking for ambitious, dedicated and passionate individuals, committed to building a sustainable future through eco-innovation. 

Designed and implemented by The DO School Fellowships and funded by Mercedes-Benz, beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship launched in 2023 to equip thousands of young people around the world with the tools and resources to implement environmental projects for a sustainable planet.

Mercedes Benz Fellowship Programme Requirements

To be considered for the 2027 Mercedes Benz Fellowship Programme, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

• Be between 18 and 28 years old at the time of applying
• Reside in one of the eligible countries listed in Question 1, and live there for the majority of each fellowship year (>9 months), implementing their project in that same country
• Have a good command of English
• Show strong dedication to positive environmental change and entrepreneurial spirit — including persistence, resilience, and determination
• Have an existing project, or a strong idea for one, that is truly planet-positive (see our definition in Question 7)
• Not work for Mercedes-Benz, and not have a parent or guardian who does
• For the 2027 Fellowship, the program accepting applications only from residents those studying, living or residing in Europe, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, USA, and Zimbabwe for the duration of the fellowship.

How To Apply for Mercedes-Benz beVisioneers Fellowship 2027

The step-by-step guide to apply for the Mercedes-Benz beVisioneers Fellowship is as follows;

• There are three sections to the application for the Mercedes Benz Fellowship which takes approximately 30-40 minutes to complete. 
• 1. The first section is the written application and requires;
  • Basic information about yourself and contact information
  • Your passion and project idea for the environmental challenge you want to tackle
  • Your learning and financial needs
  • Self-Assessment Test 
  • A scanned copy of your passport or national ID card
• 2. The second section is where you record yourself on video;
  • Via the application platform, you will record a three-minute-long interview about the environmental challenge you are passionate about and your idea to address it.
• 3. The final section is an application for Financial Support, which is optional and only for those who request financial assistance to participate in the fellowship.
  • If you choose to apply for financial support, you will be asked to provide the following:
