In memory of my mentor and undergraduate advisor, Mallam Abdullahi Tanko Umaru, the Abdullahi Tanko Umaru Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established.
This scholarship, amounting to N100,000, is a homage to Mallam Tanko’s legacy, who sadly passed away at the age of 46 on January 30, 2022. He was a revered Lecturer in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

Mallam Tanko, born on March 21, 1975, was known for his unwavering commitment to teaching, innovative thinking, and kindness.
