Jefferson Scholars Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Details
Jefferson Scholars Foundation offers two outstanding scholarship —the Jefferson Scholars Program and the Walentas Scholars Program—cultivate outstanding undergraduate students, providing them with financial support to pursue their passions, develop their talents, and encourage their community involvement.
Both programs provide generous financial packages, enrichment opportunities, and access to the JSF network of Scholars, Fellows, alumni, and volunteers.
Jefferson and Walentas Scholarships are awarded to individuals who have undergone a rigorous selection process and who possess an exceptional record of and the potential for impact both inside and outside the classroom.
Jefferson Scholars Foundation Scholarship Benefits
The Jefferson Foundation Scholarship includes tuition, room, board, books, and miscellaneous expenses based on full-time enrollment for eight semesters at the University of Virginia, plus coverage of supplemental enrichment experiences.
- Virginians receive over $42,000 per year or upwards of $230,000 total.
- Non-Virginians receive over $83,000 per year or upwards of $405,000 total.

Jefferson Scholars Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the Jefferson Foundation Scholarship Program, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- be a home or an international student
- enroll for your undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia.
- meet the entry requirements for admission at the university.
- satisfy the English Language requirements of the University of Virginia.
