The British Academy is now accepting applications for the Visiting Fellowships 2025 programme, an outstanding opportunity for international academics to collaborate with UK institutions.
The Visiting Fellowships programme, funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, provides a platform for academics in the humanities and social sciences to engage in collaborative projects with UK colleagues.
This British Academy Fellowship Program enables scholars from any country to be based at a UK higher education or research institution of their choice for up to six months, fostering international research partnerships and professional development.

British Academy Fellowship Program Requirements
To be eligible for the British Academy Fellowship Program, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Applicants must be at postdoctoral level or have equivalent research experience.
- Candidates should be based outside of the UK at the time of application.
- Applicants can be on permanent or fixed-term contracts (fixed-term contracts must not end before the fellowship end date).
- Independent scholars are welcome to apply.
- Applicants must have been in contact with their UK host institution prior to applying.
- The British Academy encourages applications from diverse UK host institutions, historically or structurally disadvantaged groups, low-income countries, and female researchers.
