Many believe that nature holds the key to addressing major global challenges such as climate change, food and water security, biodiversity loss, disaster risk reduction, and improving human health, societal well-being, and sustainable economies.
The Trust for Sustainable Living International Essay Competition invites students to share their perspectives on how nature can support the achievement of the SDGs in their communities.
Participants have the freedom to approach the topic as they wish. They can focus on a single SDG or explore multiple SDGs that are crucial in their communities, highlighting how nature can play a pivotal role.
Personal views, experiences, and insights are encouraged to make their essays compelling and engaging.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive a trophy and a cash prize of £1000, with an additional £500 for their school. The Runner-up will also receive a trophy and a cash prize of £500, with £250 for their school. These cash prizes will be awarded in the local currency.
Moreover, all participating Teacher Champions, Essay Finalists & Honourable Mentions, and International Debate participants will receive personalized e-certificates as a token of recognition for their contributions.
